This is a library of customer requested topics available for presentation at individual plants, regional venues, Polydeck Distribution Centers, and at national industry events. Having made presentations via webinar and at events like AGG1 and ConExpo/Con-Agg, the most effective delivery of technical subjects like these often occurs at a localized event. The most recent, and perhaps most impactful example of this, titled The Science of Screening, was conducted October 11th in Little Rock, Arkansas. Placed on a double-deck vibrating screen, the Polydeck polyurethane media allows “the Hoffman Crew” to more effectively size and separate gold-bearing rock at their gold mining claim located in the Klondike region of the Yukon in Northwest Canada. “Gold Rush” is described as a show that “rekindles the spirit of the American dream,” as it documents the adventures that the crew faces when tackling the challenges of a full-scale mining operation. According to Crew Boss Todd Hoffman, and Rock-Moving Expert Dave Turin, the Polydeck media was chosen for its wear life and reliability. “The top deck takes a lot of abuse from jagged bedrock,” says Hoffman. “This media wears better than steel. We’ve put more than 100,000 yards across it and we expect it to last another season,” says Turin, who is featured along with Hoffman on a video that can be viewed on the Polydeck website at [www.polydeckscreen.com/goldrush](http://www.polydeckscreen.com/goldrush). “Our employees and their families love to watch ‘Gold Rush,’ and we are thrilled to have Polydeck products chosen for this educational and entertaining program,” says Polydeck President Peter Freissle, who had the opportunity to meet with the Hoffman Crew at the recent MINExpo show in Las Vegas. Hoffman sought out Freissle at the show to discuss the use of Polydeck media on portable [trommel screens](https://info.polydeck.com/trommels-sag-mill-ball-mill-rod-mill/) needed for possible future mining applications. Polydeck Screen Corporation is a leading provider of polyurethane, rubber and specialty screening solutions for the aggregate, coal, and mining industries. The Flexi screen panel is made of a proprietary, low durometer rubber compound that provides superior flexibility, making it an ideal solution in most applications that deal with the effects of moisture on small particles and fines. Applications where high moisture, either from humidity or ambient water from rain, overspray or dust suppression, causes material to clump together and blind over screen surfaces, are especially suited for the 1' by 2' Flexi screen panel. The motion of the screen deck causes the surface of the Flexi panel to vibrate, which creates a trampoline effect, resulting in minimal, if any, material sticking to the surface. When coupled with Polydeck's Maxi high open area screen panel design, blinding is virtually eliminated. As an added benefit, the Flexi screen panel operates at a much quieter level than competitive steel products. Polydeck is a leading manufacturer of modular screen media and systems to the aggregate, mining and coal industries. # # # [Read More](https://info.polydeck.com/polydeck-press-releases/bid/110471/Polydeck-Expands-Flexi-Product-Line) 0 Comments [Click here to read/write comments](https://info.polydeck.com/polydeck-press-releases/bid/110471/Polydeck-Expands-Flexi-Product-Line#comments-listing) Topics: [Product News](https://info.polydeck.com/polydeck-press-releases/topic/product-news) [All posts](https://info.polydeck.com/polydeck-press-releases/all) ### Subscribe via Email ### Latest Posts ### Posts by Category -
